1. Software Engineer (ePayment Devices — C++, Microsoft Visual Studio)

Working in a team, you will be responsible for the development of one or more software component that is part of an integrated e-payment system. You will be involved in the software development lifecycle from definition of requirements to design and development, and testing.

• Recognised Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering / Computer Science or a relevant discipline
• At least 3 years experience in C++ programming in Windows (Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 and .NET)
• Experience in object-oriented software design and UML modeling
• Familiar with multi-threading, socket programming, serial communication and database access
• Knowledge of SDLC and RUP will be an advantage

Activities include operation and maintenance of Windows operating systems , storage and backup solutions, antivirus servers. These servers are installed with middleware applications, various database technologies, high availability solutions and load balancing.

Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Operation and maintenance of operating systems and platform support, database administration, capacity planning, performance management, security compliance. Support is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the operational status of the environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Technical team leader to a team of junior Windows administrators. Candidate and the team to be based at IBM Strategic Outsourcing clients’ location to perform the following tasks:

· System installation, configurations and testing for Windows Server OS ranging from NT, Win2K & Win2003

· Systems upgrading and patching ;

· Security hardening and patching according to IBM or client’s security policies;
